Animal Battles
I am at a zoo. Currently by myself, but I know I have friends around somewhere. I am looking into an enormous enclosure like you see for elephants. There are a couple bare trees and the ground is packed dirt. There is a single animal standing in the middle. No wonder the enclosure is so big, the animal is massive. It is a Texas longhorn. Completely white in color. Its horns went diagonally backwards toward its rear, sticking out father from its body the further back they went. They had horizontal stripes that were red, and the horns came to a very sharp point at the end.
As I am watching it standing there doing nothing, a blur of golden brown charges the longhorn. It is a bear, almost as big as the cow. It slams into the neck of the longhorn and nearly knocks it over. The longhorn bellows and smashes its head into the bear, who went flying backwards. The bear gets up and lumbers back to the longhorn, as the longhorn lowers its head and paws the dirt. The bear rears up to swipe at the longhorn as it charges. The bear flies back again, and gets up even more slowly.
One of my friends runs up to me, panting. "You gotta come here, right now!! The other battle is WAY better! Come on!!!!!" So we run from the longhorn and bear and into a large building, a giant arena that would rival the size of the Colosseum. The lighting is dim. I hear and feel a rush of air above me. As I look up, I see a dragon. It lands on the ground and breathes fire into the space above it. I follow the fire to see what it is aiming at. There is a huge great white shark, encased in a globe of water. The water is flowing and swirling and rippling around it. The shark and dragon battle was indeed more exciting than a cow and a bear.

Bareback
I am in a small grassy paddock. A dirt trail has been trampled around the border of the white fence. There is a big tree in the middle, tall, and its branches stretch far away from its truck into the sky and out nearly to the fence. It is trimmed neatly with no low branches to impede movement beneath it. There is a beautiful reddish chestnut horse, at least 18hh. He has a faded light gray halter on, but no saddle or any other tack. There are two people with me, a young teenage boy and a little girl. I grab a handful of the horse's mane and jump onto his back. I sit with my legs just behind his powerful shoulders. I click to him and give a slight squeeze with my legs. He breaks into a trot and as I lean into him he goes straight into a gallop. He ran so fast tears were pulled from my eyes. It was a smooth ride, never a stumble, and his gait was flawless. We flew around the paddock and I slowed him to a walk as we approached the two kids.
"See, it's easy! He's a good boy," I told the girl as I scratched the horse on the side of his neck. She smiled and looked at her feet. I asked her if she would like to try now. Head still bowed, she raised her eyes to look at me. I knew she wanted to. I lifted her up and told her how to position herself and how to guide the horse. First lesson in bareback riding. When she seemed comfortable I told her to go. Off she went, her black hair bouncing gently as the horse ran. The sound of hooves lessened and gradually become louder again. As they came to a stop in front of me, the girl was all smiles.

High School
Night of June 1st
I'm in high school. It's a made up building, but I've been there several times in my dreams. Usually I get lost in the massive building, struggle to find my classes, forget to go to some, and feel very confused. This time I go through a whole day of classes without incident. I am waiting for my older brother in our usual meet spot when I see a friend looking sad. He's a little person. Sitting by himself. He's on the second floor of the building, on a ledge overlooking the front doors from the side. The entire entrance is huge windows, and the ledge has glass walls as well. I go up the elevator that's right there to sit with him and ask him "What's up?" He had a rough day. I'm comforting him, assuring him that I am his friend. 3 younger boys come to the ledge and tell me to move out of the way. I stand up and grab the oldest by the arm, twisting it hard as I shove him away. He falls over. "Leave him alone," I say sternly. They leave. I sit down again and hug my friend. "I got your back" and smile at him. I told him I should go meet my brother. As I walked off I heard a gut wrenching sound. Gunshots. Fully automatic weapon. Right at the crowded entrance of the school where everyone is trying to leave. There are 2 long bursts. A single scream pierces through the school. My heart is racing and I call 911.
911, what's your emergency?
I think someone's shooting people at the high school.
Excuse me?
I heard gunshots, and a girl screamed!
Do you want me to send a patrol car?
Please. At least one.
They're on the way.
And I hung up. The school is 3 stories tall, I had to make sure everyone knew. As I got back in the elevator I saw a guy walking around the corner below me and the barrel of a gun. The doors closed before I could see who. As I got off the elevator there was a group of people all trying to call 911. It wouldn't go through, everyone's phone just beeped. Our heads snapped around as we heard more gunfire on the second floor. More screams. Screams cut short. People panicked and scattered, looking for places to hide. Nobody was willing to go near the exposed stairs or down the elevator where he could be waiting. We were trapped. Terrified. The lights started turning off. I went into a lounge area where there were several very long couches with big pillows, and high tables with chairs. Students often came here to study and do group projects. I found a good friend and we went to a couch. I tried to curl up in the corner of it. He sat next to me, and as I heard heavy footsteps approaching I quickly placed a giant pillow in front of him to help hide him. From my side I saw the shooter. Big black boots. Black trench coat. Black pants and shirt. Heavy black gloves. Hair spiked. I have seen him around in the hallways. That very day I'd seen him lean down and retie his boot. He stopped walking and the room was completely silent.
He took aim at someone on the other side of the room. I quickly slid my phone out of my pocket and dialed 911. The sound of the buttons caught his attention. He came over and grabbed my phone as it beeped. It didn't go through. He grunted and stepped back about 5 steps. He took aim. My eyes focused directly down the barrel. *click*. He was out of ammo. He kneeled down in the same way as he had to tie his boot. Only this time he pulled out a pistol. Stupid girl, I should have realized he wasn't tying his boot earlier. They didn't have laces. He was adjusting the pistol. He took a clip out of his pocket and began to insert it as he stood up. Before he could stand, I was on him. I sprang from the couch and jumped on him, knocking the pistol to the ground before he could load the clip. I managed to wrestle the larger weapon away. As soon as I had it, the dream jumped.
I was outside the building. Police cars were everywhere. I was walking to where the car was parked, and called my brother. He had left. I never came to the car, so he left. He left before the shooting started. As I was talking to him another friend came up and put his arm around me. He said he'd give me a ride home. I told my brother and hung up.
We drove to another school area first to talk, I think it was at another school. He saw people he knew so I told him I'd meet him at the building. I walked into a building and quickly realized it was a boys dorm. Oops. As I walked out the friend that had driven me saw me and we went into another small building. As we walked down a short flight of stairs to another lounge I was telling him how I jumped on the shooter. Two teachers from my school overheard. I hugged my friend. And then I woke up.
